Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must:
- Possess a Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Be permanently residing in the City of Cape Town (proof required)
- Be unemployed (students and EPWP staff are eligible)
- Be proficient in English and at least one additional official language
- Be between 18 and 34 years of age
- Have a valid driver’s license (Code B, manual transmission)
- Be medically and physically fit for strenuous training
- Have no criminal record
- Be free of visible tattoos while in uniform

Fitness and Physical Assessments
Applicants must complete the following elimination-based physical challenges:
- 2.4 km run (Men: 11 min, Women: 13 min)
- 30 push-ups in 60 seconds
- 30 sit-ups in 60 seconds
- 100-meter dead load carry (2 x 25kg)
- 20-meter tyre drag
- 20-meter shuttle runs (10 in 60 seconds)
- 2.1-meter wall climb
- Motorcycle reach test
- Comfort swim (unaided)
Note: Individuals who are pregnant may not take part in the fitness assessments.

Conditions of the Learnership
