About the Position
The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling premises, responding to incidents, and upholding company standards. This role requires vigilance, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to preventing security risks.
Key Responsibilities
As a Grade C Security Officer, your duties will include:
- Patrolling designated areas to maintain visibility and deter criminal activity.
- Monitoring surveillance equipment and ensuring all security systems are fully functional.
- Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances.
- Enforcing company policies and procedures to maintain order and safety.
- Reporting suspicious behavior or incidents to management immediately.
- Documenting and filing security reports for all incidents and breaches.
- Assisting employees and visitors with any security-related inquiries or concerns.
- Conducting security checks on vehicles, packages, and visitors entering the premises.
- Providing first aid or emergency assistance when required.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Valid PSIRA Certificate (Grade C) – proof of professional registration is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a similar security role is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Calm and composed demeanor, even in stressful or emergency situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use security software and reporting tools.
- Team player who can also work independently when required.
- Clean criminal record and the ability to pass background and drug screening tests.
- Physical fitness – must be able to stand or walk for long periods and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
